“This course will stretch you in ways you never imagined. A truly life-changing experience, and so much more than just a teacher training course. The content and delivery was extraordinary. The teachers so generous, knowledgeable and inspiring. Even though I never had the intention to teach, I’m now entertaining the idea and I feel fully equipped to do so.”

These 3 day weekend intensives (7am-5pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday) are designed to integrate with your life; allowing you to incorporate and digest what you are learning into your regular routine. Each weekend will cover a variety of topics designed to bring you the course material in an integrated and cohesive way. In between each weekend you will receive readings and assignments that prepare you for the next session.

PRACTICUM: Teaching, Assisting, Mentoring

The practicum aspect of the course is an amazing opportunity to receive one on one support, experience assisting in public classes, and teach yoga classes at Gertrude Street. Additionally in the last month of the training each student has the optional opportunity to receive a one on one coaching session from Jaspah Marques to assist in clarifying your goals and creating a plan as you prepare to finish the course. Upon completing the course each student has the optional opportunity to sign up to teach the Community Classes which run every Friday and Sunday. These classes are a chance for students to gain invaluable studio experience, build up their confidence, and ease the transition into teaching.

  • 7x 3 Day Weekend Intensives (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
  • Practicum (4 weeks of assisting a public class at Gertrude Street Yoga Teacher, a one on one coaching session with a Certified Coach, one on one mentoring in the lead up to graduation, and the opportunity to teach our Community Classes post graduation)
  • Membership to Gertrude Street Yoga for the duration of your course (5 months). Existing members will have their payments paused for the duration of the course.

  • You can register by completing our online registration form and paying your $500 deposit. Once you have registered you can expect to hear from us within 1 week.

This Course is for those ready to challenge themselves for the purpose of education, discovery and transformation.

  • Aspiring Teachers: This course is designed for those looking to become qualified yoga teachers in a supportive, powerful, and inspired way. Ideal as an initial yoga training or as continuing education for those who have completed a previous training, this course will prepare you to be a confident and authentic yoga teacher.
  • Dedicated Students: This course is perfect for those looking to expand their existing yoga practice and inspire their development as an individual. Even if you do not intend on teaching yoga, this course will provide you with valuable knowledge and insight.

Rather than teaching from a specific lineage, we have created a diverse and varied curriculum that allows the teachers to provide instruction on topics that they are truly passionate about from a perspective they resonate with. This provides you the chance to learn an abundance of techniques, practices, and traditions, and encourages you to build on the foundational teachings, ultimately developing your own authentic and meaningful style of instructing.

  • Required Reading: The required reading materials are not included in the course cost and must be purchased separately. The manual is included in the cost of tuition.

Hannah Campos

Lead Teacher

Hannah practices and teaches movement for the purpose of finding freedom, comfort, and ease in the body. Her own experience of discomfort and instability in her body while pregnant and postpartum led to a dramatic overhaul in her approach to movement. She has a passion for functional movement, engaged and inspired alignment, and using asana as a gateway to the deeper, more subtle practices of yoga.

Motherhood is one of the primary laboratories for her practice. Every day she is challenged to take her yoga off the mat and put it into action as she strives to parent consciously and gently.

Hannah is a co-owner of Gertrude Street Yoga alongside her husband Jaspah. She offers classes on the weekly timetable, and is the lead teacher for the 200 hour training.
