WHAT IS THE GERTRUDE STREET YOGA PHILOSOPHY?
Gertrude Street Yoga Studio is a place to explore, elevate, and expand your yoga practice, on and off the mat. The studio was founded in 1997 and is an urban centre for yoga, wellness, and community. Our vision is to cultivate a community that values yoga as a holistic practice, which begins on the mat and expands into everyday life. Rather than teaching from a specific lineage, we have created a diverse and varied curriculum, that allows our teachers to provide instruction on topics and areas that they are truly passionate about. This provides students the chance to learn an abundance of techniques, practices, and traditions, and encourages them to build on the foundational teachings, ultimately developing their own authentic and meaningful style of instructing.
